Zac Efron’s Edgy Movie Role In “The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman”

According to reports, actor Zac Efron’s newest flick “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman” will be the actors darkest role yet. Zac recently replaced Shia LaBeouf in the movie, which deals with blackmail, gunfights, and torture.

In the movie Zac plays the character Charlie Countryman who does drugs to take his mind off of having to take his mother off of life support after she fell into a coma. During one of his drug-induced hallucinations, Charlie’s mother tells him to travel to Bucharest, Romania, however, while Charlie is on the plane on his way there the man next to him dies. The spirit of the man asks Charlie to find his daughter, Gabi, and to deliver a Chicago Cubs batting helmet to her.

Charlie ends up falling for Gabi, however she turns out to be addicted to drugs as well and is in an abusive relationship with a crime boss. Charlie tries to save Gabi from her life, but will the challenges in his path be too much for him?
